About
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin that naturally occurs in two forms; Phylloquinone, the Vitamin K1 form, is found in plants while Menaquinone, the Vitamin K2 form, is made synthetically. Vitamin K plays an important role in blood clotting and promoting a healthy heart and bones. It’s essential for the synthesis of biologically active forms of select proteins by carboxylation, the functioning of several proteins involved in blood coagulation, and bone metabolism.
